As Anthropic gains steam with the public, they’re banned from the US government.
Big news broke this past week: President Trump ordered every federal agency to immediately stop using Anthropic’s AI tools — including Claude. Government agencies, including the Pentagon, have been given six months to fully phase out Anthropic’s products.
The move comes after an unusually public clash between Anthropic and the Trump administration over AI safety principles. Shortly after the ban was announced, OpenAI struck a deal with the Pentagon.
There’s something to be said for sticking to your principles, and we’re here for it.
